Questions / Answers

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day includes:

  • Play-based exploration and learning activities
  • Transitional activities (circle time, music, storytelling)
  • Group play and outdoor time on the playground
  • Freshly prepared meals made on-site and quiet time as required

Each day is structured, but flexible enough to follow the child’s natural rhythm.

We encourage independence by providing a prepared environment with child sized materials that are autodidactic allowing them to explore, problem solve and master skills at their own pace.

We use a respectful, guidance-based approach to support children’s growth. Educators help children:

  • Understand and navigate emotions
  • Resolve conflicts constructively
  • Develop self-regulation and problem-solving skills
  • Learn everyday life skills and positive social behaviours through play and interactions

The goal is to teach and support, not control.

We primarily communicate with parents through the Brightwheel app, where families can receive updates and messages directly from the centre. Phone calls and email are also available when needed.
